About ImgForge
ImgForge is a free, fast, and easy-to-use online image converter. Our mission is to provide a simple tool that respects your data and keeps your files private.
Est. 2025 — Free image conversion for everyone.
Why ImgForge?
Most online converters are cluttered with pop-ups, require sign-ups, or silently keep your files. ImgForge was built to be different — a clean, fast converter that respects your privacy from the ground up. There are no accounts to create, no files stored on our servers, and no hidden data collection.
We believe image conversion should be simple, fast, and free. Too many online tools are cluttered with ads, require account creation, impose arbitrary limits, or — worst of all — quietly keep your uploaded files. ImgForge was built as the antithesis: a clean, private, and genuinely useful tool.
The ImgForge Team
ImgForge is built and maintained by a small team of developers and image processing specialists who are passionate about open web standards and user privacy. Our combined expertise spans server-side image processing, web performance optimization, and format specification standards.
We continuously monitor developments in image format standards — from the latest AVIF and WebP improvements to emerging formats — to ensure ImgForge stays at the cutting edge of image conversion technology.
Our Technical Expertise
The team behind ImgForge brings deep expertise in image processing technologies:
- libvips — High-performance, memory-efficient image processing pipeline used as our primary conversion engine
- ImageMagick — Industry-standard rasterization for vector graphics (SVG) and document formats (PDF)
- Image format standards — Deep understanding of compression algorithms, color spaces, metadata handling, and format-specific optimizations across JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, SVG, GIF, and more
- Web performance — Expertise in image optimization strategies for Core Web Vitals, responsive images, lazy loading, and modern delivery techniques
How It Works
Upload any supported image format, choose your desired output, and download the result instantly. Your files are processed on the server and deleted immediately — nothing is stored or shared.
Our processing pipeline is optimized for both speed and quality. Standard image conversions use libvips for its exceptional speed and memory efficiency, while specialized formats like SVG and PDF are handled by ImageMagick with carefully tuned resource limits.

Supported Formats
ImgForge supports conversion between all major image formats, including JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, SVG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, and PDF. Whether you need to convert Apple HEIC photos for sharing, optimize images with modern WebP compression, or vectorize artwork, ImgForge has you covered.
Performance & Quality
Conversions are powered by industry-standard libraries like libvips and ImageMagick, ensuring fast processing times without sacrificing output quality. libvips is particularly efficient — it processes images using streaming, which means even large files are handled without excessive memory usage.
Behind the scenes, libvips processes images using a demand-driven, horizontally threaded architecture. This means your images are processed through streaming pipelines rather than being loaded entirely into memory, resulting in faster conversions and lower server resource usage.
Privacy First
We believe your files are yours. No accounts required, no file storage. Files are processed in memory and removed as soon as the conversion is complete. We use minimal analytics to improve the service, but your uploaded files are never stored or shared.
Your files are processed in memory and deleted the moment your download completes. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site and Google AdSense to keep the service free. We believe privacy should be the default — we never store your files or require personal information.
Open Standards
We believe in open image formats and standards. That is why ImgForge supports next-generation formats like AVIF and WebP alongside established standards like JPG and PNG. As new formats gain adoption, we add support for them.
Technology
ImgForge is built with Laravel and uses high-performance image processing libraries like libvips and ImageMagick to handle conversions quickly and reliably.
ImgForge is built on Laravel, a modern PHP framework known for its security and reliability. The frontend uses Tailwind CSS with Alpine.js for a responsive, accessible interface that works beautifully on any device. All conversions happen server-side to ensure consistent, high-quality results regardless of your device capabilities.
